APRIL 8 Free, Family-friendly The Texas Hill Country is partially in the path of the total solar eclipse, making the region a prime spot to watch the show put on by Mother Nature herself. The eclipse will be visible in the early afternoon, creating nearly two minutes of total darkness as the moon eclipses the sun. Local businesses throughout the Hill Country, Austin County and neighboring areas will host viewing events, but you can take in the show from anywhere — even your backyard.
